The lowest recorded temperature in Alaska was -80 degrees F, in Prospect Creek, on January 23, 1971. The snow starts falling in early to mid-October and it stays on the ground till April. A dramatic winter phenomenon is the building up of hoarfrost on trees. Because the Anchorage area often has several windless days in a row, a thick layer of hoarfrost sometimes builds up on exposed surfaces, turning them a frosty white. This print is treated with an ultra violent protective coating. It will be rolled and inserted into a mailing tube. I will also insert a sheet with information about this print. It will be mailed first class by the U.S. Postal Service and insured. |
